Do you rent mountain bikes?
Yes we offer hassle-free rentals through our local partner bike shops in Asheville, Black Mountain, and Pisgah Forest. We can source premium, carbon full-suspension bikes from Santa Cruz, Transition, Kona, Yeti, Trek and Juliana for an extra $105 charge per person.
What kind of mountain biking trips do you offer?
We cater mountain biking and gravel grinder trips to your individual needs and ability levels. We offer 1/2 day, full day, multi-day, and even night rides. We can do rides of any distance, rides that focus on more downhills, rides that have more single-track, rides that have long climbs, gravel rides on Pisgah’s fabulous gravel roads, etc. Keep in mind that Pisgah National Forest, the Grandfather Ranger District of Pisgah National Forest, and Dupont is very challenging terrain and you will encounter loose rocks, obstacles, stream crossings, mud, and logs. We can pick easier routes both in Pisgah National Forest, Grandfather Ranger District, and in Dupont State Recreational Forest.
What do I bring on a mountain biking or gravel trip?
These are self-suported trips, so you need to bring everything you would need to be self-sufficient in the woods. Half day and full day trips include snacks during and after the ride. Bring extra food, water, rain gear, extra tubes, etc. Our guides will have a set of basic tools, a complete first aid kit, plenty of water and a water bottle, and lots of extra snacks.
What if I cannot make it on a ride and other group members want to continue?
If for some reason a member of the group cannot contiune, one of the two guides will accompany them safely back to the car.
What is the minimum number of people on a mountain biking trip?
We can take as few as one person on a trip. It would be a personalized, custom route designed to their individual riding preferences.
